Thais and Jonas Sitoe

Jonas and Thais Sitoe are a Pastoral couple who have recently been appointed as specialized assignment missionaries. Jonas is from Mozambique and Thais is from Brazil, where they met in 2008 and were married in 2011. They have one son named Davi.

 Jonas and Thais are both educators and have been serving in the country of Mozambique since 2013. Jonas has been serving as auxiliary Pastor in the Church of the Nazarene Maputo - Central and as a teacher and Academic Dean of the Nazarene Seminary in Mozambique. Thais has been serving as Coordinator of the Nazarene Community School and rental manager for incoming guests at the Nazarene Seminary in Mozambique.

They will soon be moving to the Country of Angola, to serve on the Africa Lusophone Field.  They will serve as Education Coordinators in Angola, where they will work in the formation of Pastors and Leadership Training. They will also support the churches and districts in the conducting of District Assemblies, evangelism, camps, discipleship and more realities that the Church may needs their support.

The couple’s dream is to see the integral development of the church. That education would to be accessible to all and that a generation of mature leaders will be developed who are capable of leading the church more efficiently. That these leaders will impact Angola through the testimony of their holiness lifestyle and will reach the greatest possible number of souls for Christ. The Sitoe’s greatest motivation is to witness the love of Christ and fulfill the calling of God in their lives, serving him with excellence.

 Please pray for the Sitoe family so that God will give them wisdom, security and strength while fulfilling the noble task of teaching and preaching the love of Christ.

Jonas e Thais Sitoe são um casal Pastoral, recém-nomeados missionários. Jonas é Moçambicano e a Thais é Brasileira. Ambos são educadores, se conheceram em 2008 no Brasil e se casaram em 2011. O casal tem um filho chamado Davi.

 Foram desafiados com a responsabilidade missionária, estando eles a servirem em Moçambique. Jonas como Pastor auxiliar na Igreja do Nazareno  Maputo – Central  e também  Professor e  Deão Académico do Seminário Nazareno em Moçambique desde o ano de 2013. Thais, como Coordenadora da Escola Comunitária Nazareno e também responsável pelo panejamento dos alugueres e recepção de hospedes no Seminário Nazareno em Moçambique.

 Eles estarão servindo no País de Angola, Campo Lusófono, Região de Africa. Exercerão a função de Coordenadores de Educação em Angola, onde trabalharão na formação de Pastores e Treinamento de Líderes. Também, irão apoiar as Igrejas, os Distritos na liderança das Assembleias, no evangelismo, acampamentos, discipulado e mais realidades que a Igreja precise do apoio deles.

 O sonho do casal é de ver o desenvolvimento integral da Igreja, a educação a ser acessível a todos, no preparo de uma geração de líderes maduros, capazes de Liderar a Igreja e Impactar Angola pelo Testemunho de vida de Santidade e alcançar o maior número possível de almas para Cristo. A maior motivação deles é de testemunhar o amor de Cristo e cumprir a chamada de Deus em suas vidas servindo-o com excelência.

Going Where the Church is Not Yet

Today there are over 4.3 billion people who live in areas where there is little to no gospel witness. 4.3 billion people who have not heard the message of the gospel, who have never heard the name of Jesus. We believe that everyone deserves to hear. God continues to call the Church of the Nazarene to spread the message of the gospel, to preach holiness, and to bring good news to the poor all over the world. The task is enormous; far too big for anyone to do alone, but together we can go where the church is not yet and see people, communities, and nations transformed. Reaching these people begins with one step, a step of obedience and faithfulness that says yes to God’s call. Take your first step and start your journey toward serving in missions today.
