Erika Contreras

Erika was born in Mexico City.
She served as a pastor for six years in the Central District of Mexico. In her district, she served and helped with Youth Ministry, Sunday School and Missions. She also worked as an accountant at the Mexican Nazarene Seminary for five years. She was auditor of her district and later the administrator. Since 2013, she has served as a missionary in the South America Region as an assistant in finances, accountant and as the Regional Audit Coordinator. She is a certified public accountant, has a postgraduate degree in taxes, and a diploma in web design. She lives in Argentina, and also ministers in the local church in Sunday School, in the welcome area and communications. She works with women during the week in small group Bible studies.

 

Erika nació en la Ciudad de México.
Sirvió como pastora por seis años en el Distrito Centro de México. En su distrito colaboró en los ministerios de JNI, Escuela Dominical y MNI. Trabajó también como contadora del Seminario Nazareno Mexicano, por 5 años. Fue auditora de su distrito y posteriormente administradora del mismo. Desde el 2013 ha servido como misionera en la Región Sudamérica como asistente en el área de finanzas, contadora y como coordinadora regional de auditorias.
Es contador público de profesión, tiene un posgrado en impuestos, diplomado en diseño de paginas web y es maestrante del programa de Maestría en Ciencias de la Religión con énfasis en la misión de la iglesia del seminario de Costa Rica, SENDAS.
Vive en Buenos Aires, Argentina y colabora en la iglesia local en el ministerio de escuela dominical, en el de Bienvenida y también en el ministerio de comunicaciones. Entre semana colabora en un centro de bendición de mujeres.

Going Where the Church is Not Yet

Today there are over 4.3 billion people who live in areas where there is little to no gospel witness. 4.3 billion people who have not heard the message of the gospel, who have never heard the name of Jesus. We believe that everyone deserves to hear. God continues to call the Church of the Nazarene to spread the message of the gospel, to preach holiness, and to bring good news to the poor all over the world. The task is enormous; far too big for anyone to do alone, but together we can go where the church is not yet and see people, communities, and nations transformed. Reaching these people begins with one step, a step of obedience and faithfulness that says yes to God’s call. Take your first step and start your journey toward serving in missions today.
