Rute and Alfredo Mulieri

Serving in Brazil | South America

Alfredo and Rute Mulieri are global missionaries for the Church of the Nazarene in Porto Alegre, Brazil.

Alfedo was raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Rute is from Brazil.  Alfredo felt God calling him to preach the Gospel away from his hometown.  God showed him the way to do so and the Church of the Nazarene gave him the opportunity to achieve that goal.  After working in several South American countries, he had confirmed his calling.

Beginning in January 1995, Alfredo served as evangelist coordinator and seminary administrator and Rute served as administration coordinator assistant in Buenos Aires, Argentina.  From 1996-1999, Alfredo served as Venezuela mission director and Rute as secretary for the field director and child sponsorship coordinator in Venezuela.  From 2001–present, Alfredo has been serving as a church planter, opening “prayer cells” in homes that are to become Nazarene churches.  Rute has been working in the administrative field and as the Children Sponsorship Program coordinator for Brazil.

The Mulieris have twin girls, Aline and Simone.

Going Where the Church is Not Yet

Today there are over 4.3 billion people who live in areas where there is little to no gospel witness. 4.3 billion people who have not heard the message of the gospel, who have never heard the name of Jesus. We believe that everyone deserves to hear. God continues to call the Church of the Nazarene to spread the message of the gospel, to preach holiness, and to bring good news to the poor all over the world. The task is enormous; far too big for anyone to do alone, but together we can go where the church is not yet and see people, communities, and nations transformed. Reaching these people begins with one step, a step of obedience and faithfulness that says yes to God’s call. Take your first step and start your journey toward serving in missions today.
